Admission Criteria – Student Selection
The minimum admission criteria for the funding body’s personnel are:
- A degree from a Higher Education Institution.
- A certificate of English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (or equivalent) or a degree from an English-speaking institution.
For third-party applicants, the minimum admission criteria are:
- Graduates of Higher Education Institutions in Greece within the last three academic years
- Graduation grade of at least "very good" (7/10) or higher
- Certificate of English proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (or equivalent)
- Statement of Intent to participate in the postgraduate programme.
Final-year students from Higher Education Institutions with equivalent qualifications are also eligible, provided they complete their undergraduate studies in the academic year preceding their enrolment in the postgraduate programme. These students are admitted subject to the completion of their studies before the start of the postgraduate programme.
Additionally, all applicants may submit, if available:
- Publications and any scientific/research writing activity
- Evidence of other relevant activities and qualifications, such as certified computer skills, research/professional experience, a second foreign language, reference letters, etc.
The scoring system for the criteria is as outlined below:

Selection
The selection of the admitted candidates is carried out by a three-member committee appointed by the Department Assembly of the Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics, in accordance with the Programme’s Rules and Regulations.
