Attendance

  • The standard duration of study in the MSc Programme leading to the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) is a minimum of three (3) semesters, including the time required to prepare and submit the Master’s Thesis for evaluation. The MSc in "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology" employs a hybrid educational model.
  • The start and end dates of educational activities are determined by the academic calendar.
  • At the beginning of each semester, the semester timetable is prepared, published on the Programme website and communicated to the postgraduate students.
  • Each course is taught by one or more instructors. For each course, the Assembly appoints one instructor to act as the course coordinator.
  • The timetable is made available in advance on the Programme website and the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics website. Students are notified through all appropriate channels.
  • Educational activities are conducted on the days and times scheduled in the timetable.
  • Attendance is mandatory and is monitored by the respective instructor.
  • Students are permitted absences of up to 15% of each course. If absences exceed this limit, the student is required to retake the course. In the case of absence due to exceptional circumstances, postgraduate students may submit a request to the Coordinating Committee, which will examine the application and make a recommendation to the Department Assembly for a final decision..
  • Provisions are available for part-time study or a temporary suspension of studies.
  • The evaluation of educational activities may include written or oral examinations, assignments, presentations, reports or a combination of these methods. The exact format of the assessment is determined by the instructor(s) based on the nature of the course and is outlined in the course syllabus.
