Excellence Awards

The MSc programme in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology awards two Excellence Awards per cohort. These awards are based solely on the following academic criteria:

The graduation grade from the PGMP is the most important evaluation indicator, as it reflects the candidate's overall performance in the study program. The grade carries a weight of 50% in the overall assessment, rewarding academic effort and specialization in the field of study.

Presenting at an international conference demonstrates the candidate's ability to promote and support their research on a global level. With a weight of 15%, it acknowledges the importance of interaction with the international scientific community and the contribution to the expansion of knowledge.

Publication in a peer-reviewed journal reflects the significance and scientific value of the research. With a weight of 35%, it is one of the key indicators of quality and contribution to the academic field, as it confirms the validity and acceptance of the research findings by experts in the field.

Τhe criteria of international recognition and research contribution are evaluated only if the postgraduate student's contribution is related to work conducted within the Programme. Details of the evaluation process are outlined in the programme regulations.

Students may also apply for scholarships offered by various institutions and organisations. Information on available scholarships is regularly updated on the DUTH Career Office’s website.

Additionally, postgraduate students may be eligible for work-based scholarships provided by the DUTH Special Research Account for participation in research projects.
